Example Academy: Refund Policy (v1, frozen)

Fictional demo store used for prepared cases and evaluation.

Example Academy sells **digital courses** (video lessons plus downloadable files) and a **monthly membership** through Whop. All amounts are in USD.

## §1 Standard refund window You can get a **full refund within 14 days of purchase** if you have used **less than 20% of the course** (lesson progress shown in your account) **and** have not downloaded the course's bonus files.

## §2 Content we failed to deliver If the course content **cannot be accessed because of a problem on our side** (for example, a broken link, missing videos or corrupted files) and we **have not fixed it within 48 hours** of your report, you get a **full refund**. This applies for **30 days** after purchase, regardless of §1's usage limits.

## §3 Not as described If what you received is **materially different** from what the sales page promised (for example, a promised module is missing, or there are far fewer hours of content than advertised), you get a **full refund** within **30 days** of purchase. Small differences in style or opinion are not "materially different".

## §4 Duplicate or accidental charges If you were **charged twice** for the same course, or charged for a product you **never opened** and requested a refund within **48 hours**, we refund the extra or accidental charge in full, at any time.

## §5 Membership renewals Monthly membership renewals are refunded in full if you ask **within 48 hours of the renewal charge** and have **not used** the membership since the renewal (no lessons opened, no community posts).

## §6 Not covered We do **not** refund: - (a) requests after the windows above, unless §2, §3 or §4 applies; - (b) problems caused by your own device, internet connection or account sharing; - (c) a course for which you already received a refund once before (one refund per customer per course); - (d) courses where a completion certificate was issued.

## §7 Evidence We decide based on our records (purchase date, progress, downloads, certificates, access checks) and what you tell us. If your claim can't be checked and our records contradict it, our records win. If our records can't settle it, we give the customer the benefit of the doubt for §2 and §3 claims.

## §8 Your other rights This policy does not limit your other rights, including opening a case in Whop's Resolution Center or contacting your card issuer.
