How it works
From a denial to a corrected decision.
Every appeal follows the same path, and every step leaves a record.
- 01
Your AI says no
A customer is denied a refund by your support agent, which cites the policy clause it relied on.
- 02
The customer asks for review
One click requests an independent second look. The original decision and its reasoning stay on file.
- 03
Evidence is gathered
A remote browser captures the product page and an excerpt of your published terms is attached to the case.
- 04
Independent people review it
Verified reviewers hired through Terac apply your written policy to the evidence, with no stake in the outcome.
- 05
The decision is carried out
If the refund is due, a separate executor issues it on Whop within the limits you set.
- 06
Everything is on the record
Each autonomous decision is written to a public ledger, and your AI learns from the ruling.
Product
Built for merchants who automate support
Your support AI keeps handling refunds. Second Instance adds an independent check on its denials, and a separate executor that can only pay out what your policy and your limits allow.
The demo uses a fictional store. Sandbox transactions are labelled.
- Before paying, the executor re-checks the decision, the policy hash, per-case and daily limits, payment ownership and dispute status.
- Refunds are idempotent: a case can never be paid twice.
- Reviewers never see customer contact details.
- Customer text and web pages are treated as data, never as instructions.
- A budget governor keeps a $10 reserve before hiring people.
Evaluation
Measured, not claimed
We don't publish accuracy numbers we haven't earned.
The evaluation was pre-registered, with hashes committed before any human label existed.
The baseline decided 49 prepared cases.
The human panel had not completed by the registered cutoff, so no accuracy claim is made.
